Su Xue couldn’t help but feel that the dog in front of him, with a strong scent and the ability to speak human language, looked very dangerous. The more dangerous it seemed, the more Su Xue couldn’t back down.
Bai rongrong climbed up the wall and stood on top, observing the dumb little brother who continued to make foolish threats. Faced with this stupid little brother, she wanted to facepalm. Not only did he consider her as a rival, but he also stared at her with a look as if he truly didn’t recognize her. Either the little brother was acting dumb or his brain had been fried by lightning.
Bai rongrong couldn’t determine if Su Xue genuinely didn’t recognise her or was pretending not to.She jumped down from the wall and landed steadily on the ground.
Su Xue took several steps back, keeping his distance from the monster. He barked at Bai rongrong with a low growl, “Wang!” Stay away, this is my territory, stray dogs are not allowed!
Just as he finished barking, Su Xue witnessed a terrifying scene—the long-haired big white dog, similar in appearance to himself, elongated its body. Its snout gradually shrank, its dog ears became smaller, its tail reduced in size, and its fur slowly faded away, transforming into human-like skin. The four paws that were standing on the ground transformed into hands and feet, and its limbs followed suit, resembling human limbs.
A dog turned into a living human.
Su Xue barked frantically at Bai rongrong in fear, “Wang wang wang wang…” Monster, monster! A dog has turned into a human! The dog has become a spirit! The dog has become a monster!
The fact that a dog could speak human language and transform into a living human shattered Su Xue’s understanding of the world. His mind was filled with legends he had heard from humans about animals transforming into monsters that would eat humans.
“Wang wang wang wang…”
Master! Master! There’s a monster! There’s a monster!
Su Xue abruptly turned his head and sprinted away, barking wildly. His fur was still bristling, and he didn’t spare a glance at Bai rongrong, who was now lying naked on the ground in human form. Bai rongrong’s beautiful face, ample and perky br*asts, slender waist, and long, beautiful legs couldn’t attract Su Xue, the “ordinary dog,” who only saw his master without fur as the most beautiful.
Lying in the grass without fur, Bai rongrong felt a bit chilly all over. “…” Her dumb little brother’s brain must have been fried by lightning, as he couldn’t even recognize her human form. No wonder when they first saw each other from a distance, he showed a threatening gaze.
“Wang wang wang wang…”
Su Xue, now transformed into a huge white furry mass due to the wind, barked wildly all the way, startling everyone who didn’t know what had happened to him. He rushed towards the Young Master’s study.
Su Xue crashed through the study door and quickly used his head to push the two door panels closed. He stood upright, latched the door bolt, and finally felt a bit relieved, letting out a long breath.
This was the first time Yue Xiujin had seen Su Xue latch the door bolt, and he raised an eyebrow in slight surprise. In the past, no matter how smart and human-like Su Xue was, he didn’t think much of it. He simply considered Su Xue to have extraordinary talents and be more intelligent than an ordinary dog. But now, seeing him in such a frightened state seemed somewhat unusual.
Bai rongrong was almost driven crazy by her dumb little brother. However, she couldn’t chase after the dumb little brother in human form, so she had to transform back to her original form and chase after him. But the dumb little brother was running too fast, like a gust of wind, seemingly stepping on the ground but actually using the wind to increase his running speed. Bai rongrong was momentarily distracted and her little brother almost disappeared without a trace.
Seeing her little brother enter a room and quickly close the door, Bai rongrong wasn’t as anxious anymore. She stopped in her tracks and leisurely looked around. Apart from the human scent, this courtyard was filled with the dominant scent of her little brother. Even the birds refused to fly over the courtyard, keeping their distance from the territory claimed by her little brother. The strongest scent of her little brother seemed to be coming from the bedroom of the legitimate son of the Yue family, as that room also emitted a distinct scent of the legitimate son.
Something was amiss. Where was her little brother’s mate? Why couldn’t she smell the scent of her little brother’s mate?
Su Xue, with a look of confusion on her doggy face, turned her sky-blue eyes around, trying to find the presence of her little brother’s mate. However, in this courtyard, apart from the scent of her little brother, she couldn’t detect the scent of any other dog. Could her little brother’s mate live in another part of the Yue residence?
The kitchen maid, maidservants, and attendants in the courtyard were astonished to see another long-haired white dog similar to Su Xue. The dog showed no signs of vigilance in an unfamiliar place. Instead, it strolled around the courtyard, sniffing here and there, seemingly searching for something.
“Su Xue,” Yue Xiujin called out, setting down the book in his hand.
Su Xue immediately ran towards his master upon hearing his voice, whimpering and howling incessantly. “Wu wuu ahowuu! Master, there’s a monster. I saw a dog turn into a person. She eats people. Master, quickly hide yourself. I’ll go out and deal with her.”
Yue Xiujin couldn’t understand what Su Xue was saying, so he simply stroked his head to calm his emotions. “Did something scare you? Don’t be afraid. Let’s go and see together. There’s nothing to worry about. Master will help you figure out what it is.”
Upon hearing that his master wanted to go see the dog monster, Su Xue was truly frightened. He quickly lifted his front paws and hugged his master’s waist, not allowing him to go see the dog monster. He looked up at his master and barked excitedly, “Wang wang! Master, don’t go. I’ll go and see that dog monster. You stay in the study and don’t come out.”
Yue Xiujin had a smile on his face as he patted Su Xue’s head. Su Xue rubbed his head against his owner’s hand, reluctantly letting go and running to the front door. He used one eye to peek through the crack of the door to see what was happening outside. The scent of the dog had entered the yard, and Su Xue knew immediately that the monster had entered the yard. He couldn’t allow the demon to enter the study anymore.
Just as his eye approached the door crack, Su Xue saw a pair of sky-blue eyes staring back at him.
Both the long-haired white dogs, inside and outside the door, froze in surprise. They clearly didn’t expect to coincidentally meet each other through the door crack.
“Wang wang… wang wang… wang wang…” Su Xue’s fur bristled all over his body as he fiercely barked at the dog outside the door, displaying his aggression. “Wang wang wang wang… wang wang wang…”
The long-haired white dog outside the door rolled its eyes in annoyance. If you have the guts to bark, have the guts to open the door. Don’t act like those domesticated dogs, who cower as soon as they’re without their owners’ protection.
Curious about what was making Su Xue so nervous and continuously barking, Yue Xiujin stood up, released the door latch, and opened the door. To his astonishment, there stood a long-haired white dog that resembled Su Xue. Aside from the difference in eye colour, their fur length and body size were so similar that one could easily mistake them for the same dog.
Yue Xiujin looked at the dog in shock.
The ball of white fluff instinctively wagged its tail at him.
Su Xue’s frantic barking abruptly stopped as he turned to look at his owner. His owner’s eyes were fixed on the other dog, and then looked back at that dog, while the monster’s tail wagged towards his owner.
My owner is staring at another dog, and it’s a female dog.
“Ah—” Su Xue couldn’t bear to bite his owner, so he turned and pounced on White Haired dog.
“?” Bai Rongrong was caught off guard by her sibling and didn’t react in time to avoid the attack. She was momentarily stunned as they tumbled and rolled into a tangled mess.
Su Xue opened his mouth, aiming to bite Bai Rongrong’s neck.
“Ah!” You actually bit me!
Bai Rongrong swiped her paw across her sibling’s face, pushing it away. However, the sibling, who saw her as a rival, fiercely bit back at her paw. Fortunately, Bai Rongrong quickly retracted her paw, avoiding it being bitten off.
As her sibling bit it, Bai Rongrong didn’t hesitate to retaliate. Bite for bite, claw for claw, the two long-haired white dogs tore and fought each other.
“Quick, separate them!” Yue Xiujin held Su Xue from behind, while two sturdy servants who had been called, rushed in to help pull Bai Rongrong away.
“Wuu… growl…” Two similar adorable dog faces revealed sharp canine teeth, snarling at each other unwillingly. They looked fierce, very fierce, exceptionally fierce, and extremely fierce.
“I’ll bite you, I’ll bite you! Don’t you dare wag your tail at my owner!”
“I’m your sister! Your sister! I wagged my tail at your owner, and you bit me for that? You’ve bitten off all my fur!”
The two dogs argued in their own language.
Su Xue struggled in his owner’s arms, stretching his neck in an attempt to bite Bai Rongrong again. However, this time he struggled with more force and managed to break free from his owner’s embrace.
He paused for a moment, then quickly stuffed himself back into his owner’s arms, turning his head to continue bickering with Bai Rongrong, making a combination of whimpers, growls, and barks. Then he looked up at his owner with pleading eyes, making pitiful little sounds.
“Wuu… Owner, don’t look at her wagging her tail. If you want to see someone wagging their tail, look at me.”
Then Su Xue wagged his tail rapidly, accompanied by his slightly dirty but adorable doggy face and watery emerald eyes, making Yue Xiujin find it both funny and heartwarming.
“…” Bai Rongrong covered her face with a paw, unable to bear the sight of her foolish sibling.
