While traveling, after trying to help a foreigner who misunderstood his words as a fight, and was subsequently beaten and killed, Jedo is reborn into another world by a goddess. He receives the ability to understand all languages. Reborn as Jedo=Clifford, the third son of a noble family, he discovers he can also understand animals and monsters. This leads to many comedic misadventures as he interacts with talking animals, goblins, and orcs. The story follows his humorous escapades in this new world.
