Aldis, a wielder of 'Sword Magic', is a mercenary who undertakes various requests, such as extermination, escort, and investigation, depending on the reward. On his way back from an investigation request, he protects twin girls who are the only survivors of a merchant caravan attacked by bandits. However, twins in this world are shunned as 'abominable children'. Holding a quiet anger towards the 'enemy' worshipped as a goddess all over the world and the world that dances to its tune, Aldis cuts a path with his own sword.
