An anime adaptation is in progress, and there is an official Twitter account. Volumes 1-8 of the book are currently being published by KADOKAWA, with illustrations by Tensomoso. The comic version is being serialized in 'Web Dengeki Comic,' with art by Tsukimida Shio. Volumes 1-6 of the comic are available from Dengeki NEXT. An audiobook is also available, with a playback time of about 12 hours. It can be listened to on Amazon's Audible, narrated by voice actor Yui Kodagiri, who also voiced the character Key in the anime. Currently, the reception of comments is temporarily suspended. Kazuna Kakutani, who became paralyzed due to an accident, dies during a power outage and finds herself in the world of the online game she was playing. Upon waking, she discovers that the world is 200 years ahead of the time she was playing the game. To survive, she must figure out what she needs to do in this game-like world. What obstacles will she face as she navigates this new reality? Note: The characters in the book version are slightly different. (As of 2016, a sequel titled 'Beyond the Dust' is being serialized, though it is currently on hiatus.)
