Reiko Kujyoin is a poor, orphaned girl. Her recently deceased grandmother was a spoiled young lady with no life skills, and her father, who abandoned her as a baby, disappeared after ruining the Kujyoin family. Raised by her grandmother's maid, Fuki, Reiko learned to be self-sufficient. Her grandmother, however, had high expectations and rigorously trained Reiko in piano, dance, manners, and languages. Reiko enters the prestigious Myosei Academy, only to be tackled and called a "villainous young lady" by Yulia Sakurada, who believes the world is an otome game and tries to pair the heroine with her love interest, ignoring Reiko's poverty. Adding to the chaos, Fuki is revealed to be working for the love interest's family. When Reiko loses her home in a landslide, she must overcome her challenges.
